Faith & Fire Survival began with a simple conviction: preparedness is stewardship. As families and churches asked how to respond to uncertainty with peace instead of panic, this ministry formed to train both the heart and the hands.

Derek brings more than 25 years of expertise in wilderness survival, navigation, search & rescue, and emergency preparedness. His approach integrates proven survival techniques with timeless biblical principles, equipping individuals to thrive while fostering faith, resilience, and purpose.
Andy is an accomplished outdoor educator specializing in hiking, backcountry camping, and wilderness survival. He mentors students in both technical skills and spiritual growth, helping them develop confidence in the outdoors and in life.
Our advisory team includes my wife, my adult children, and several trusted Christian men who help review our training materials, safety practices, and biblical teaching. Their insight helps ensure that everything we offer is safe, practical, and firmly rooted in Scripture.
